Hannah and Shaun’s Axford Wedding, Wiltshire
Wiltshire is home to many outstanding venues in which to get married, and as a Wiltshire wedding photographer I’m always intrigued when someone decides to have their celebrations in their own back yard. It can be challenging as a wedding photographer, but there’s a wonderful sense of excitement having to work with something new. I often find I shoot some of my best work at new venues. There’s no tried and tested walks, no done-to-death backdrops and it keeps me on my toes to ensure I get nice portraits of the bride and groom. When I first set eyes upon Hannah and Shaun’s garden I was super-excited, especially in the knowledge that there was a ...

Tylney Hall wedding
Jo and Chris’s Wedding at Tylney Hall, Hampshire
As a Hampshire Wedding Photographer I am always delighted when I'm asked to photograph a wedding at Tylney Hall. It is one of the most splendid venues in the North Hampshire area. Previously a school, it's set in beautiful grounds and a wedding photographer is truly spoilt for choice. As with so many of the weddings I've shot this year, the threat of rain was ever-present, but that didn't dampen the spirits of the bride and groom. With their two boys in tow they set out to ensure they were going to have a spectacular wedding day, regardless of what the heavens threw  at them. Jo and her bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite and were so ...

Anna-May and Paul’s Engagement Shoot at Black Park
As a Berkshire wedding photographer I love this time of year for taking photos. The long drawn-out evenings provide a little more scope for experimentation and make things altogether more pleasant when you don't need to wear 16 layers for a short stroll in the woods. And a little walk in the woods is exactly what I suggested to Anna-May and Paul for their engagement shoot this week.  As they both live in Uxbridge, I suggested Black Park as a good location and they both promptly agreed. As a Berkshire wedding photographer I am spoilt for choice when it comes to locations for engagement shoots, but Black Park remains one my favourite. ...

Amilia and Liam’s Wonderful Sussex Wedding at Hellingly Church
As a Sussex wedding photographer I'm often delighted to track back down memory lane and shoot a wedding near Hailsham, close to where I spent much of my childhood. The beautiful church at Hellingly was the setting for this particular wedding of Amilia and Liam. I'd met them both a few weeks earlier for a family shoot with their delightful daughter Lizzy. It was a good thing too, as by this time she was so comfortable in front of the camera it allowed me to capture some great natural moments. I made my way to the splendid Holmbush House in the morning where I would meet Amilia and her bridesmaids as they got themselves ready for the big ...

Richmond Wedding Photographer | Antje & Graeme
As a Richmond Wedding Photographer I was excited at the prospect of getting some portraits by the riverside. Its such a beautiful spot and one that I relish being able to shoot in. Antje and Graeme wanted a fairly low key wedding so chose Ealing Town Hall and invited a few close friends and relatives to witness the special day. I started at their house in Ealing where their sweet little daughter was initially quite wary of the camera. It didn’t take long before she warmed to me though and soon she was dancing and posing like a little pro. I do like it when I’m allowed to ride in the wedding car, not just because in this case it was a 1963 ...

Destination Wedding Photographer – Copenhagen
I love a danish. I love a good wedding too. As a destination wedding photographer I was thrilled to be asked to go out and shoot a Danish wedding. Copenhagen the setting, a hot July weekend the date. Janus and Natascha were to tie the knot in a C of E church and once complete, had arranged to ferry their guests to the wedding venue by boat. The champagne flowed, not for the captain I'm pleased to say and the celebrations began. We had beautiful weather and were spoiled with a tour of the cities wonderful architecture along the waterside. These guys were so in love they could hardly keep their hands off each other. not a problem for me as the ...

Off the coast of Africa
When Rodolfo and Begona asked that I shoot their wedding in the Canary Islands, I felt honored as I knew it would be a wonderful celebration and a great day to photograph, but it also gave me a chance to get some well needed sun! We spent a few hours travelling around the north coast of Tenerife, discovering some fantastic coastal crannies and super little buildings in various states of disrepair - making for some great photos. I hope you agree. Now, lets fix the date for that wedding!

Nik and Rachael Engagement Shoot
I love it when I'm asked to shoot the wedding of a couple that live really close to me. That way we can explore one of my favourite little locations, Chiswick House and gardens. I meet Nik and Rachael one evening in late August, and there'a already a keen sense that the summer is on the way out. Leaves on the ground and a people clutching pullovers and jackets ready for when the chill descends. We chose a great evening however, and the sun was frequently popping our from behind the clouds. Here are some photos from our shoot walking through the park. Hopefully you'll see why I love this location for engagement shoots.
