Documentary Wedding Photographer
CREATIVELY CAPTURING YOUR DAY AS IT UNFOLDS
As a Hampshire Wedding Photographer I am always delighted when I’m asked to photograph a wedding at Tylney Hall. It is one of the most splendid venues in the North Hampshire area. Previously a school, it’s set in beautiful grounds and a wedding photographer is truly spoilt for choice. As with so many of the weddings I’ve shot this year, the threat of rain was ever-present, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the bride and groom. With their two boys in tow they set out to ensure they were going to have a spectacular wedding day, regardless of what the heavens threw at them.
Life is a series of moments. My aspiration is to capture the essence of those moments we want to keep alive.
As a successful documentary wedding photographer and family portrait photographer my fascination with people is paramount. Everyone has a story to tell and I try to find it.
Your wedding day is special and is a major investment of time and money. Such days I believe are worthy of capturing carefully, thoughtfully and skillfully. I believe the old adage ‘the camera doesn’t lie’ still holds true. I value the picture that says this is what took place; something to look back to, real documentary wedding photography. At the same time, one must search for a poetic atmosphere to capture the heart of the emotion.
“Joel has an amazing gift of invisibly witnessing every special moment with his camera. Not just the set pieces – and he captures all of those with perfect timing – but also the intimate moments of fun, family and friendship. His artistic eye means every picture has a magical quality of light and detail. We were left with a beautiful set of candid portraits of our children, parents and friends that we will cherish for many years.”
